Last Chance!

Hey y’all! Just a reminder that today is the last chance to comment if your birthday is in April! I mean if you comment late, then I will definitely add it, but it would great if we get them all tonight!

I’m planning on having it up by tonight since tomorrow is the first day of April. So, if you haven’t commented before, then please comment NOW. Or if you know of a blogger whose birthday is in April that you’d like to recognize comment that too.

OOH and if you have an idea as to something “extra” we could do for the people maybe?

I kinda have an idea… but I guess we’ll see what happens and all that….

We’re Made From The Same Things

How can we be so utterly different,

if we’re made from the same things?

Our hearts are muscle, keeping us alive,

but the things that keep me breathing

are the things that make you choke.

My lungs are filled with passion ,

while yours are filled with smoke.

My head is filled with numbers,

and yours is clouded with cocaine.

Our feet walk on the same pavements,

but our souls are on different planes.

Should anyone mistake us for the same

person, I’ll tell them just what makes me

different than you.

Because the things that you have done,

I’ve never thought to do

5 Step Rice Krispy Easter Egg Nests

Hey y’all! So today in the midst of everything my cousin and I made these super cute rice Krispy nests. Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:
– Finished rice Krispies in a bowl (The usual recipe is here)
– Muffin/cupcake pan
-Coconut
-Food dye
-Ice cream scoop/spoon
– Candy eggs (optional)

TIP: PUT BUTTER ON YOUR FINGERS BEFORE HANDLING THE RICE KRISPIES

Step 1: Press the rice krispies into the pan with spoon/scoop (We found it worked best to flatten it in our hands first)

image

Step 2: Put the coconut into plastic baggies with the dye and shake it up. We added about a 1/4 tsp of water to get it to spread easier.

Step 3: Lay the coconut out on parchment paper to let it dry

image

Step 4: Once the coconut is dry, fill the nests with the “grass”.

Step 5: After this you can also add the candy eggs.

Well I personally thought these turned out super cute, and I would definitely make them again. They were really easy too!

Abra-Kanabra!!

Hey y’all! Happy (almost) Easter! So I’m just going to show you guys what I did Thursday night, yesterday, and today 🙂

It all started with a 3 hour drive and some boredom selfies from Aliyah and I since we kicked our brothers out to her mom’s car

On Friday we were laying in the sun and I took these pics of the from my grandma’s yard.

For my grandma’s late birthday present we drove an hour away to St. George for lunch at Texas Roadhouse.

And they had her sit on the birthday sattle.

We also got shakes from Iceberg that were sooo good.

Then we had a fire 🙂

Then this morning we drove to thus one canyon and went hiking in the lava rock.

After that I drove back to this restaurant where we ate lunch and then headed home. Aliyah and I left to go exploring and climbed this massive cliff.

We also went to go find this rock

And then later on we ate homemade ribs and went hot tubbing.
Tomorrow we’re going to drive the side by side which I am super excited for (along with Easter)

■ Wear comfy clothes! I chose sweatpants and a t-shirt

The Only Thing I Can Think About Right Now

Hey y’all! So I am extremely stressing out because of school right now. I am failing math and have been doing homework literally all weekend long. It’s still not done and this is so ridiculous. As I mentioned before, my phone also broke so that’s been stressful too. Hopefully we can see if it can get fixed tomorrow.

And as of right now I just wanted to write. I was going to rant but that gave me even more of a headache, so I’m going to write about the only thing I can think about this isn’t making me freak out.

SPRING BREAK!! My Spring Break is on Thursday and my family and I are going down to Kanab to spend the weekend at my grammie’s house! My aunt Heather and cousin Aliyah are going too!

Just to give y’all a sneak peek of what it will be like I thought I’d compile some stuff about what it looks like and how my trip will go!

First, we’ll drive three hours down south to the warmer weather!

During this time, I take my motion sickness medication, sleep, listen to music, text my friends, and color!

The most noticeable thing down there, is the gorgeous scenery.

kanab

This is the main street in Kanab that Aliyah and I have walked many, many times.

Then we just hang out and tell stories on the couch. My grandma’s house is right next to a red rock cliff so we sit in the sun with our family and laugh about stories we’ve never heard before.

I love learning more about my family, especially since my grandpa died when I was 7 months old.

We hold and play with the bunnies! Yes, we get to spend Easter with bunnies. It’s epic.

We also go driving around the cliffs in the SIDE BY SIDE. It’s basically a mix between a mini jeep and a four-wheeler and it’s soooo fun.

Depending on how warm it is, we usually go to visit the Pink Coral Sand Dunes.

And that’s all I can think of! Love y’all and hope you’ve had a good day! Comment down below what you’re spring break plans are.

There Once Was A Girl

versailles

There once was a girl with who wanted nothing more than to step foot into that castle.

There once was a girl who wanted nothing more than to step foot out of that castle.

There once was a girl who only knew the horrors caused by a King inside that castle.

There once was a girl who only knew the things her father did to get inside that castle.

There was once a girl who was forced to always stand in the shadows of that castle.

There once a peasant.

There once was a princess.

There once was a prisoner’s daughter.

There once was an aristocrat’s daughter.

There once was a servant.

There once were 5 girls, too blinded by their wants to see that they all wanted the same thing. Equality.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

clover.jpg

Hey y’all! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I thought it’d be cool to do some “fun facts” about St. Patrick’s, so here we go!

1. The Day He Died: March 17th is the day St. Patrick died, way back in either 460 or 493, depending on which historians you ask.

2. He Wasn’t Irish: St. Patrick actually wasn’t Irish he was British. At age 16, he was taken as an Irish slave for 6 years. In his twenties, he returned to his family just to come back to Ireland as a Christian missionary.

3. Blue: St. Patrick’s color isn’t actually green, it’s blue. Green was introduced because of the green clover which is also only a symbol of St. Patrick’s Day because he used it to teach about the Holy Trinity.

4. More Irish in the U.S: Yep, there are more Irish in the United States than in Ireland. Around 34 million people in the U.S. identify as Irish, while there are only about 4.5 million people in Ireland.

5. Saint What? Saint Patrick’s name was not originally Saint Patrick, but Maewyn Succut.
