The Only Thing I Can Think About Right Now

Hey y’all! So I am extremely stressing out because of school right now. I am failing math and have been doing homework literally all weekend long. It’s still not done and this is so ridiculous. As I mentioned before, my phone also broke so that’s been stressful too. Hopefully we can see if it can get fixed tomorrow.

And as of right now I just wanted to write. I was going to rant but that gave me even more of a headache, so I’m going to write about the only thing I can think about this isn’t making me freak out.

SPRING BREAK!! My Spring Break is on Thursday and my family and I are going down to Kanab to spend the weekend at my grammie’s house! My aunt Heather and cousin Aliyah are going too!

Just to give y’all a sneak peek of what it will be like I thought I’d compile some stuff about what it looks like and how my trip will go!

First, we’ll drive three hours down south to the warmer weather!

During this time, I take my motion sickness medication, sleep, listen to music, text my friends, and color!

The most noticeable thing down there, is the gorgeous scenery.

kanab

This is the main street in Kanab that Aliyah and I have walked many, many times.

Then we just hang out and tell stories on the couch. My grandma’s house is right next to a red rock cliff so we sit in the sun with our family and laugh about stories we’ve never heard before.

I love learning more about my family, especially since my grandpa died when I was 7 months old.

We hold and play with the bunnies! Yes, we get to spend Easter with bunnies. It’s epic.

We also go driving around the cliffs in the SIDE BY SIDE. It’s basically a mix between a mini jeep and a four-wheeler and it’s soooo fun.

Depending on how warm it is, we usually go to visit the Pink Coral Sand Dunes.

And that’s all I can think of! Love y’all and hope you’ve had a good day! Comment down below what you’re spring break plans are.

There Once Was A Girl

versailles

There once was a girl with who wanted nothing more than to step foot into that castle.

There once was a girl who wanted nothing more than to step foot out of that castle.

There once was a girl who only knew the horrors caused by a King inside that castle.

There once was a girl who only knew the things her father did to get inside that castle.

There was once a girl who was forced to always stand in the shadows of that castle.

There once a peasant.

There once was a princess.

There once was a prisoner’s daughter.

There once was an aristocrat’s daughter.

There once was a servant.

There once were 5 girls, too blinded by their wants to see that they all wanted the same thing. Equality.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

clover.jpg

Hey y’all! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I thought it’d be cool to do some “fun facts” about St. Patrick’s, so here we go!

1. The Day He Died: March 17th is the day St. Patrick died, way back in either 460 or 493, depending on which historians you ask.

2. He Wasn’t Irish: St. Patrick actually wasn’t Irish he was British. At age 16, he was taken as an Irish slave for 6 years. In his twenties, he returned to his family just to come back to Ireland as a Christian missionary.

3. Blue: St. Patrick’s color isn’t actually green, it’s blue. Green was introduced because of the green clover which is also only a symbol of St. Patrick’s Day because he used it to teach about the Holy Trinity.

4. More Irish in the U.S: Yep, there are more Irish in the United States than in Ireland. Around 34 million people in the U.S. identify as Irish, while there are only about 4.5 million people in Ireland.

5. Saint What? Saint Patrick’s name was not originally Saint Patrick, but Maewyn Succut.

About To Throw Up

image

Hey y’all, soooooo tomorrow is tryouts for Chamber orchestra at my high school.
I’m super super nervous since we have to sight read, and since I can’t feel my hands I have to memorize music and then watch my hands in order to play. But it’s also a blind audition so I can’t really get an exception…. plus I’m not sure if that’s fair…..
If I don’t make it into Chamber I’ll have to choose between debate 2 and concert orchestra since they’re in the same class period

I FEEL LIKE I’M GOING TO THROW UP

I marked the places where I have to shift into 4th and 7th position just in case and then I can hit the grace notes pretty well…. but still

Playing has gotten so much harder since I lost feeling in my hands and it’s been ridiculously frustrating.

Oh well, there’s nothing else I can do except to keep trying. I’ll keep you guys updated on how it goes…..

ALSO I had a doctors appointment yesterday and the neurologist told me that she doesn’t think we’re ever going to find an answer which had also been just DANDY.

I’ve got to finish eating and then practice a bit before bed.

60 mph Highway

Hey y’all! So ARD was fantastic! Lauren and I went to Cafe Rio for dinner and then got ice cream at this awesome place.
After that we met Ryann at Battle of the Bands which was tons of fun!! The band from my school is moving onto state so we’ll go watch that competition when it happens.
Also, thank you to everyone who wore sweatpants!! You guys are so sweet and brightened my day so so so much.
On Friday Lauren, Erin, and Emmy J came  over and we watched How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (which is absolutely hilarious but super cute) and White House Down (a hot guy, explosions, and actions? Count me in!)

Today I had an AP Euro test review session in the morning and after we went to my cousins 2nd birthday party (Birdie) and then some of my cousins and my mom and brother (and me) went up to the cemetery so I could drive around.
I then proceeded to drive ALL THE WAY home (to another city) on a 60 mph highway!
Now I might go back over to Laurens house to hang out!

Oh! And I’m watching the premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D which is amazing!!!

The 5 female bloggers that inspire me are… *drumroll please*……

  1. Love, Sydney: Your blog posts are always so fabulous, and I love the fact that I am able to know your opinion on a lot of topics, which in turn makes me feel like I know you more 🙂 You’re the bomb diggity, girl 😉 P.S. I love you Sydney (So original, I know. But I had to put it…)

So I nominate everyone that I tagged, I love all of you!

P.S. This might sound self absorbed, but I would really love to hit 200 followers before my birthday. That means there are 31 days to get 41 more followers…. eep!

Let’s Chat

Hey y’all! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve sat down and “talked” with all of you!

I stayed home from school today since I’ve been in a ton of pain since last night and spent all day doing some homework and watching (of course) Criminal Minds. I have another neurologist appointment on Monday so hopefully that goes well.

Next Wednesday is tryouts for Chamber Orchestra at my school, and I’m super nervous. I barely picked out the song today because it is SOO hard to find cello sheet music!

On Friday my friends Bex, Ry, and Lauren came over and we watched Criminal Minds and just hung around laughing our heads off. Especially after messing around with the face swap on Snapchat.

(Speaking of which, I now have a blog snapchat, it’s akatheauthor so go check it out!)

Other than that, I went to 2 of my cousins birthday parties this weekend. One turned 10 and the other turned 6.

At my 10 year old cousin’s birthday party we went to this skating, bounce house, jungle gym place that my family owns and it was really fun! His sister, Aliyah smashed a cupcake in my face so we had a little war XD

snapchat-6690528642531871085.jpg

At my other cousin’s birthday party we roasted hot dogs outside, and I got to hang out with all of the little ones. These are the two youngest on the swing with Sienna and I, and then “sleeping” under the rug.

snapchat-1129374853718735490.jpg

Monster now has an obsession with Scooby Doo, but only refers to him as “Doo” XD This video is one of the cutest things ever.

Then Birdie(the other baby)’s sister, looked like an epic hippie 😉 XD

snapchat-6327797429702485132.jpgMy aunt then took me driving around her house and it was actually really fun (even though I’m not a big fan of driving) and I finished off the night with my cousins sleeping over!

Hope you all have had a good weekend/ beginning of the week! Oh, and Happy International Women’s Day! Love you guys!
