Homecoming Week!

Hey y’all! So I actually planned writing and posting the 2nd part to my Wyoming trip but I felt like doing an update/ rant post.

This week (well tonight) is homecoming so during the week we dressed up depending on the theme for the day. Tuesday night Ryann and I went and saw Storks as I mentioned previously, but it was a lot of fun!

On Wednesday we didn’t have school so Ryann and Bex came over and we just messed around an made cookies. For young womens later that night we went to Gardner’s Village which is this cute little place with shops that they decorate with tons of life size witches for Halloween. We did the scavenger hunt for all the witches and it was super fun!

Thursday was the parade where all of the clubs from school do floats which was pretty fun. The best part of the night though was when the whole stadium was singing along to High School Musical. At the end was the burning of the CH (Our school letters) which is a really cool tradition, along with fireworks.

Last night was the homecoming game and since we suck at football it was laaaame. The best part was the halftime performance. By 3rd quarter Lauren and I left and went to the Pop Shop. I got the white gummy bear which has mountain dew, mango, pineapple, and ice cream puree which was actually really good.

Today (well and last night) I got to babysit my cousins! It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve seen them, and  they’re all so cute! The baby’s favorite thing to say now is, “I pretty”.

And then tonight was the Utes game against Cal and ugh it was soooo dumb- and I’m not even saying that just because we lost. We had 2 timeouts with 20 seconds left in the game. Our coach asked the refs for clarification on time but they thought he said timeout, and they took our timeout anyways. Which is RIDICULOUS- they should have taken it back! And when we used our last timeout a player got hurt, which means that we should have gotten our timeout back. But we obviously didn’t.

Although other than that our offensive coach is horrendous– he was having us PASS when our running game is what was working! And at the end they put in Moss when our other player was the one who was actually getting yards!

Anyways, I had a pretty fun weekend. Tomorrow is general conference which means instead of going to church I get to stay in my pj’s at home and watch church on TV! We usually make cinnamon rolls so I’m looking for to that- and listening to the Prophet and Apostles speak.

Tell me how you’re weekend went down below! Love y’all! -Aspen AKA The Author
