My (Epic?) Weekend

Hey  y’all! So today is Mother’s Day, and I just wanted to say how grateful I am for my own mother. She is the kindest, sweetest, person I know who will do anything for our family. And even strangers for that matter. I was having a hard time today after getting some advice/news last night so she came in to cheer me up. And I was being the usual uncooperative brat I am and told her that I didn’t care if she loved me or not. She just proceeded to tickle me, laughing about how she doesn’t get to do it anymore. And then kissed me on the cheek and told me too bad, because she was always going to love me anyway. She’s the greatest.

Speaking of great people, this Friday was my AP European History test and it was LONG. 6 HOURS long. And by the end of it I was exhausted, but 3 fantastic people picked me up for our plans! My mom (again), my best friend Lauren, and her mom. We went and got pedicures (I got this really cool copper color with a black flower), ate dinner at Applebees, and saw Captain America Civil War. I had TONS of fun.

Then on Saturday I went to my brothers basketball game, Bex’s birthday party (we got in the hot tub and it felt GREAT), and then went to my dad’s cousin’s wedding reception. There we talked to one of his relatives, who is SO SO kind. She has fibromyalgia and was talking to my parents about my pain and symptoms and it sounds like that’s what I have. We’d already talked to a neurologist who said that it might be a possibility so the next step would be going to see rheumatologist.

I’ve kind of been in a bad mood ever since because there isn’t a cure for it, and there hasn’t been much research done. I guess I’ll be doing a lot of that from now on. Apparently my parents have been too.

ALSO something sort of exciting, I start training for Little Red officially this week! If you don’t know, Little Red is the all women’s bike race I do that raises money for breast and ovarian cancer. It’s sooo much fun and I was so proud of myself for riding 100 miles last year. I can’t wait to see what this year brings. Wish me luck!

Iron Man Broke My Heart

Hey ya’ll this is just a random post of whatever I decide to add. I found some stuff on the wide web of wonders that I thought was funny enough to show y’all. OH and one major thing (in my opinion.)

THE TRAILER FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR CAME OUT!!!!!!! And it’s heartbreaking. I would say that there are spoilers, but it’s a trailer so…. And if you don’t want to hear spoilers of the trailer, I’d suggest going to look it up on Youtube first. Oh and try not to cry.

 

First off, the plot line that we know so far is that the government wants all superheroes to sign the Superhero Registration Act.  Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Hawkeye, Falcon, and the Scarlet Witch all oppose this idea. There is also some evidence that Peggy Carter’s ( founder of S.H.I.E.L.D and Captain America’s past love) niece is joining this side also.

On the other side, is Black Widow, War Machine (Iron Man’s best friend), Vision, Black Panther (oooh his first appearance in the movies!), and obviously the one and only, and definitely last but best, IRON MAN.

Uggh it really bothers me though because Tony (Iron Man) is usually the one choosing the rebellious side and I like rebellion, but no matter what I’m sticking with him. I’ve also heard that the Black Panther came back because Bucky killed his father, and that he had something to do with the death of Tony’s father Howard Stark.

Which would be terrible because Howard Stark and Peggy Carter (the girl Captain America was in love with before he was you know, frozen) worked together all the time while she was founding S.H.I.E.L.D.

I highly suggest watching the trailer if you haven’t, even if it’s heartbreaking it looks so good.
